In the Kraken Pro mobile app, users currently land on the markets page with their portfolio value displayed at the top. While this provides quick access to trading pairs, it doesn’t offer an overview of their account or recent activity. We set out to design a homepage that gives traders a structured entry point, helping them access key information, orient themselves, and personalize their experience.

We designed a homepage focused on user activity rather than market exploration. It provides an overview of portfolio value across different wallets, displays recent trading activity, and highlights favorite markets—helping traders see relevant insights. Customization options allow users to tailor their homepage with widgets suited to their needs. Additionally, we refined navigation by repositioning the account tab to give more prominence to earn products, making them easier to discover.

To evaluate the effectiveness of the homepage, we have planned to track user engagement with key features, such as widget customization, portfolio interactions, and trading activity visibility. Monitoring navigation patterns would help us to assess whether the new structure improves efficiency and reduces friction. Additionally, retention metrics for new users will help measure how well the homepage supports onboarding and long-term engagement.
